Ingredients

For Uttapam

Rava/Suji- 2 cups

Curd- 1cup

Water- as required

Onions- 2-3

Tomatoes-2-3

Green Chillies-4-5

Salt-2-3 teaspoon

Red Chilli Powder-as required

Eno/Fruit Salt-1-2 teaspoon

For Tomato Chutney

Tomatoes-3-4

Green Chillies-5-6

Onions-2-3

Curry Leaves-  4-5

Salt- as per taste

Red Chilli Powder- 1 teaspoon

Oil-1 teaspoon

Mustard Seeds-  1/2 teaspoon

Method:

For Uttapam

  1. Mix Rava, curd and water, salt in a bowl. Mix it well and leave it for at least an hour.
  2. Add Eno/fruit salt
  3. Heat a little oil in a pan.
  4. Pour the rava batter and spread it in a circular motion. And ensure that it is a little thick.
  5. Spread the finely chopped onions, tomatoes, and green chilies over the batter. Sprinkle salt and red chili powder.
  6. Flip over the other side once the uttapam turns golden brown.
  7. Cook it in medium flame for 3-4 minutes
  8. Veggie Uttapam is ready. Serve it with the chutney of your choice!

Tomato Chutney

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add curry leaves and mustard seeds.
  2. Add chopped onions, green chillies, and tomatoes.
  3. Cook it for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Let it cool down.
  5. Transfer it to the mixer and make a coarse paste.
  6. Serve it with uttapam!
